No extra work necessary! npm uninstall npm install switched back to full-time using yarn for no particular reason, other than I like how it colorizes the terminal. Here’s the same with npm, which is nice because it comes built-in to Node.js, so you already have npm installed. That seems useful, but what if you want to know what version you’re on? You’d have to look it up on the npm registry each time. ![]() yarn remove yarn add not yarn add the package and specify the version number That’s because the package.json version will end up as latest, instead of an actual version. ![]() This week, I’ve been busy with a work project to upgrade Docusaurus (the React-based documentation static site generator from Facebook) from some weird alpha version to the new 2.0 version that was just released.
